He is currently a 30% Invited Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology and Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of Porto (FMUP), where he teaches Physiology and Pathophysiology on the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine.
2016 He has won several grants and awards for his scientific work, notably the Pfizer Award for Clinical Research;
2003 – Present: He carries out teaching and research activities in the Department of Physiology of the FMUP, Faculty of Medicine of Porto (FMUP);
