Dr. Beatriz Gil Braga

Specialist doctor in Nephrology, trained at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, with specialist training at the Unidade Local de Saúde de Santo António.

Experience in the management of chronic kidney disease, including advanced chronic kidney disease and dialysis, with a particular interest in the cardiorenometabolic approach, reflected in an integrated assessment of kidney function and the main cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors.

She completed a period of specialist training at the Cardiorenal Unit of the Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro in Majadahonda, Madrid, where she deepened her expertise in this field. She also has a particular interest in glomerulopathies, diabetic kidney disease and vascular access. In addition, she maintains regular activity in the fields of scientific research and teaching.

She values an individualised clinical approach, seeking to act early on risk factors and to care for the patient in an integrated way throughout the progression of kidney disease.
